Not pointing out the rule to be a know it all cause I made the same mistake this week but it sounded like you targeted the Doom Reavers with a spell from Death Jack early on. Doom Reavers when selective memory allows have Spell Ward.
Yup, looks like some major goofs. I totally forgot about the Spell Ward (honest!) and seems like Drew forgot as well. He just got them that day and was itching to play a big game.
